Hello Folks,
This is Seth Burrill from the Angler's Xperience and I wanted to share with you a few new exciting things into the AX studio, as well as AX tackle.
The AX Crew and I recently finished up the production of our prespawn largemouth episode. I had my dad Jim "Big Fish" Burrill as my co-host and man did he live up to his name. We caught some great fish but pops was the star. He landed a 7lb 2oz. giant followed by a 7lb 12oz beast. These fish were located at the tip of a Percentage Triangle in 15' of water. The water temp was 44 degrees and the wind was howling out of the west at 25-35mph. The big largies were staged off of a steep rocky shoreline that tapered into a big spawning flat. The water was still too low so the largies were holding here waiting for the water level to rise. The fish ate two presentations. The first was a Blade Runner Rocker Jig tipped with a
Berkley Gulp Wicked Wing trailer. The second was a chatterbait. Both of these presentations were worked slowly across the rocky bottom. The bites were very soft due to the severe front that was moving through. They key was persistence and we stayed in a 100 yard section of shoreline all day. It was a great day spent on the water with my favorite fishing buddy.
